In this dance lesson, you will get to know the Merengue dance style. Merengue originates from the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Puerto Rico and is known for its fast rhythm and catchy melodies. Merengue music often deals with unrequited love and passion, but also occasionally addresses socio-political issues. Merengue is a lively dance that plays an important cultural role in the Caribbean.
