Kizomba is a sensual dance that originated in Angola and developed from various African rhythms and dance styles. This dance, which originated several decades ago, combines elements of traditional Angolan music with modern influences such as zouk and semba. The slow, flowing movements and close dance posture make Kizomba one of the most intimate and emotional couple dances.
Experience this unique dance style in our Kizomba dance lesson, where a professional dance instructor will teach you the basic steps or deepen your existing knowledge. The lyrics of the Kizomba songs, mostly sung in Portuguese, often tell of love, longing and life in Angolan culture.
In this dance lesson, you will get to know the Bachata dance style. Bachata originated in the 1960s from the Cuban or Caribbean bolero and has its origins in the Dominican Republic. Over time, Bachata developed into a popular dance style known for its soulful music, which is often about unrequited love and passion.

Salsa is particularly widespread in Latin America and each country has developed its own salsa mix, which is always based on Cuban rhythms. In Cuba itself, a faster style has also developed, which includes funk, nueva trova, hip-hop and jazz and is called timba.
