The content of the diving training is based on the guidelines of the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), all our diving instructors and dive guides are PADI certified. Scuba Diver course

Learn to dive in Cuba! For inexperienced divers, we offer an accompanied beginner diving course in Cuba. This course allows you to enter the world of open water diving with equipment.

Allows diving at depths of up to 15 m

The "Scuba Diver Course" involves diving in shallow water at a maximum depth of 15 m and in the constant company of a diving instructor. At the end of the Scuba Diver course you will receive an ACUC certification. As the diving course contains restrictions (such as the maximum depth of 15 m), it is possible that not all diving centers worldwide will accept the certificate.

  • Services: 2 hours of theory, 1 pool exercise, 2 dives in the sea, certification, diving equipment

Open Water Diving course

The Open Water Diver course teaches you all the skills you need to freely explore the underwater world. You need this certificate to be able to hire diving equipment or take part in diving excursions.

Allows diving at depths of up to 18 m

During the "Open Water Diving" diving course in Cuba you will be prepared in 9 hours of theoretical lessons. At the end of the theory there is an exam to pass. The practical part is then practiced in the pool. Once you are confident with the diving equipment, you will go into the open sea under the supervision of the diving instructor. After successfully completing the course, you will receive your diving license, which allows you to dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 25 m (approx. 82 feet), with or without an instructor.

  • Services: 9 hours of theory, pool exercise, 4 compulsory dives in the sea (2 more are optional), diving equipment, handling of the certification process/diving license handover

  • Certification: internally recognized SSI Open Water Diver certification (up to 18 m depth)

Advanced divers will find the "Advanced Open Water Diver" course among our Cuba diving courses.

Allows diving at depths of up to 40 m

The prerequisite for participation is certification as an "Open Water Diver" or "Rescue Specialist" with diving experience of at least 24 logged dives. The "Advanced Open Water Diver" course builds on these prerequisites. In addition to handling and maintaining diving equipment, the following areas are covered: dives with limited visibility (night diving etc.), diving in special terrain (caves, wrecks etc.), underwater navigation, deep diving (30 m/130 feet). Basic knowledge of boat navigation, marine biology and ecology is taught.

  • Services: 5 dives (including special dives such as deep diving, night diving, underwater navigation, underwater photography), diving equipment
  • Duration: approx. 1 week
  • Certification: international SSI Advanced Open Water certification (up to 30 m)
  • Location: Cayo Largo, Varadero, Playa Santa Lucia, Guardalavaca, Cienfuegos, Santiago de Cuba and more

Important information: A medical certificate and a minimum age of 18 years are required to participate in diving courses. When planning your stay in Cuba, please remember that there should be at least one day between the last dive and the flight home so that the nitrogen that accumulates in the blood during scuba diving can be completely broken down by the body.
