Day 1: Bogotá

Arrival in Bogotá and transfer to your hotel. Bogotá is the vibrant capital of Colombia, a city that combines colonial charm with modern dynamism. Spend the evening exploring the nearby Zona Rosa, a vibrant neighbourhood full of restaurants, bars and shops that offers an insight into the city's lively nightlife.

Day 2: Bogotá

Start your day with a guided walking tour through the historic centre of Bogotá, La Candelaria. This area is known for its colonial architecture, colourful murals and cobblestone streets. Visit the Gold Museum, which houses an extensive collection of pre-Columbian gold artefacts, and learn more about the indigenous cultures of Colombia. The afternoon is free for you to explore the city at your own pace.

Day 3: Bogotá

Visit Monserrate Hill, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of Bogotá from its summit at 3,152 metres above sea level. Explore the hilltop sanctuary, gardens and local food stalls. Afterwards, enjoy a guided food tour to sample Bogotá's street food and traditional dishes. This day combines breathtaking landscapes with a taste of local flavours.

Day 4: Bogotá - Salento

Departure from Bogotá and drive to Salento, a picturesque town in the coffee region. The journey takes you through the Andes and offers beautiful views of Colombia's mountain landscapes. On arrival, check into your hotel and have time to relax and explore the charming streets of the city.

Day 5: Salento

Today you will explore the breathtaking Cocora Valley, home to the towering wax palms, Colombia's national tree. Enjoy a guided hike through this surreal landscape, followed by a tour of Salento to discover its colourful houses and vibrant culture. In the afternoon, visit a local coffee farm to learn more about the coffee-making process and take part in a tasting.

Day 6: Salento

Spend a relaxing day at leisure in Salento. You can explore the coffee region further, visit nearby attractions or simply relax at your hotel. Optional activities include horse riding, visiting other coffee farms or exploring the local markets.

Day 7: Salento - Medellín

Medellín, a city known for its cultural boom and innovation. Medellín, once notorious for its turbulent past, is now celebrated for its transformation into one of Colombia's most dynamic and vibrant cities. Upon arrival, settle into your hotel and explore the city's vibrant neighbourhoods.

Day 8: Medellín

Start your day with a city tour of Medellín, during which you will visit important sights such as Parque Berrio, Plaza Botero and the Museum of Antioquia. In the afternoon, you will visit Comuna 13, a neighbourhood that has undergone a remarkable transformation. Once plagued by violence, Comuna 13 is now a symbol of resilience and creativity, known for its colourful murals and vibrant street art.

Day 9: Medellín - Guatapé

Take a day trip to Guatapé, a colourful town known for its vibrant zócalos (decorative panels on the lower walls of houses). Climb the 740 steps of El Peñol, a massive rock that offers panoramic views of the surrounding lakes and mountains. After exploring Guatapé, return to Medellín in the evening.

Day 10: Medellín - Cartagena

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cartagena, one of Colombia's most famous cities. Cartagena is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved colonial architecture and rich history. Upon arrival in Cartagena, transfer to your hotel and spend the evening exploring the lively streets of the city.

Day 11: Cartagena

Discover the magic of Cartagena with a guided city tour. Explore the historic old town, visit the Castillo San Felipe and stroll through the charming Getsemaní neighbourhood. Learn more about Cartagena's history, from its foundation in 1533 to its role as an important harbour during the Spanish colonial period. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city on your own.

Day 12: Cartagena

Enjoy a free day in Cartagena. You can relax on the city's beaches, explore other historical sites or take an optional day trip to Isla Majagua, part of the Rosario Islands. This island is known for its crystal clear waters and coral reefs, making it a perfect place for snorkelling and relaxing.

Day 13: Cartagena - Santa Marta

Transfer from Cartagena to Santa Marta, the oldest city in Colombia. Santa Marta is the gateway to the Tayrona National Park, known for its stunning beaches and lush tropical forests.
