Our Cuba cycle tour through western Cuba offers numerous exciting experiences. You start in the lively capital Havana and spend the night in a 5-star hotel. In the picturesque Viñales Valley, you will explore impressive limestone cliffs and visit a traditional tobacco factory. At the secluded beach of Cayo Jutías, you can relax on white sandy beaches and swim in crystal-clear water. Continue through the charming landscapes of Soroa and Las Terrazas, where you will discover the diverse flora and fauna. Finally, experience the historic old town of Havana on this Cuba vacation and visit the Havana Club Rum Museum.
Day 1: Havana
Welcome to Cuba! Today you will arrive in beautiful Havana. We can arrange a transfer to your hotel for you (optional) or you can make your own arrangements. Depending on your arrival time, you will have some time to explore Havana after checking into your accommodation.

Day 2: Havana - Viñales
After breakfast, at 8:30 am, you will have a welcome meeting with your tour guide. You will receive your Cuba bike in the bike workshop. You will then travel by bus to Pinar del Río, the famous tobacco region in western Cuba. You will get to know Pinar del Río, where you will visit a tobacco factory and look around the town. Now it's time to prepare the bikes for the first stage of the day. You ride into the Viñales Valley, one of the most beautiful natural landscapes on the island. This is where the legendary Cuban tobacco grows between the cliffs and rocks of the steep coast. After lunch in a typical restaurant and a short break, you will continue the tour by bike. You will also visit the Mogotes and the Cueva del Indio, a 90-metre-high underground cave.

Day 3: Cayo Jutías
Cycle to Cayo Jutías, a secluded sandy beach. The Cuba bike tour begins after breakfast. Your ride takes you through the Sierra de Oreganos, a winding mountain range northwest of Havana. Cayo Jutías is a small island connected to the Cuban mainland by an artificial causeway - the ride over this causeway is truly spectacular! Once there, you will have lunch on the beach and later hire a boat or swim in the beautiful sea. Afterwards, you can either take the bus or cycle back to Viñales.

Day 4: Viñales - Pinar del Río
Cycle through picturesque landscapes and untouched valleys on the Jagua Vieja Road to La Palma. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the valley before continuing on to Pinar del Río.

Day 5: Pinar del Río - Soroa
After breakfast, you cycle along the Carretera Central to Soroa. The route takes you through charming, rural western Cuban towns. We recommend that you visit the famous orchid garden in Soroa (optional), where you can see over 700 species of this delicate flower.

Day 6: Las Terrazas
After breakfast, you cycle to the Las Terrazas nature reserve, 20 km away. This municipality is located in the Sierra del Rosario, a UNESCO-protected rural area for sustainable development. On your ride, you will see the San Juan River, small lakes and a small waterfall flowing through the dense forest, as well as ruins and coffee plantations from the 19th century. The name of the municipality of Las Terrazas is derived from the overgrown terraced fields typical of this region. The 900 inhabitants of this community live from the timber industry and ecotourism. On the way, you will have lunch in a farmhouse. In the afternoon, you will take the bus back to Soroa.

Day 7: Soroa - Havana
In the morning, take the bus back to Havana. Your tour guide will accompany you on a tour through the narrow streets of Old Havana and give you a final impression of the Spanish-Andalusian architecture of the old town. Your tour ends with a visit to the Havana Club Rum Museum, a great place to buy some souvenirs or have a cocktail! Lunch in a restaurant included.
